Getting Well And Staying Well Is Possible.. And Affordable!

As nice as it would be, we can’t spend one month working out and expect to be fit and athletic for the rest of our lives. We can’t eat one week of salads, then go back to eating fast food and say we have eaten a healthy diet for life. Chiropractic care is the same way—for optimal health, we truly need maintenance care that lasts long after our pain is gone.

Chiropractic care does not simply treat symptoms. Our job is to correct the spinal misalignment (aka vertebral subluxations)  that each of us face from the physical, chemical and emotional stress of everyday life. Many people who initially seek out chiropractic care aren’t feeling healthy. They have been in an accident, sustained an injury or are dealing with chronic pain. This is why we promote the three phases of chiropractic care at Seattle Family Chiropractic along with affordable plans to help our patients maintain their health on an ongoing basis to offset life’s everyday stresses.

Phase one is the Acute Phase. This is the pain relief phase, where we treat the problem or injury using three different techniques. These techniques include the Activator Method, the Sacro Occipital Technique and the Thompson Technique, explanations of which can be found on our website. We want you to be pain free as quickly as possible, so this is the most intensive phase of your treatment. Typically the acute phase of treatment is covered by health insurance, work related claims or auto insurance plans if the patient has them.

For those without insurance coverage, we offer discounted prepaid plans to ensure that our chiropractic care is available to everyone who needs it. For as little as $150 per month for weekly visits for one particular plan offered, our plans are available during any phase of chiropractic care. Those with insurance coverage often switch to our plans during phase two, but patients without insurance often opt for the wellness plans right away. The plans range from discounted prepaid rates for short-term use to set monthly rates for longer care.

Phase two of treatment is the Corrective Phase. In this phase, we’re still correcting the spine while we monitor the progress as the spine begins to “hold” its adjustments. This phase usually begins about four to eight weeks after care has begun, when the patient is out of the acute phase. At this point many symptoms and problems have decreased.

The final phase of our care is the Maintenance Phase. In this phase, the spine now holds the adjustments. However, because we all face physical, chemical and emotional stress throughout our lives, affordable adjustments during this phase help us to maintain our spinal health. Think of it like regular dental care—you may not know if you have dental problems developing, which is why you go in for check-ups and cleanings. These adjustments are usually done weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Traditional medical care does not cover general health and wellness, which is why insurance plans only cover the acute phase of chiropractic care. Our monthly plans make these phases affordable and accessible to anyone who recognizes the benefit of ongoing adjustments.

One of our biggest challenges in our line of care is creating the shift in consciousness in our patients that can only occur when they understand the benefits of regular chiropractic care. Most people think that  our health automatically deteriorates as we age, but this is simply not true. Your health can improve as you age if you care for yourself properly, and you can feel good and stay active well into your senior years.

Since some people hesitate to come get adjusted when they’re feeling well due to the cost, our affordable long-term wellness plans help encourage our patients to make their health a priority. We leave the decision entirely up to the patients—if they only want to get treated until their pain and symptoms lessen, we never pressure them. But we always want wellness care to be an option.. It is our hope that by keeping the cost low and the adjustments convenient, our patients will make the investment and continue the path to overall wellness.

Last weekend, Seattle Family Chiropractic had the pleasure of attending VegFest as an exhibitor. The people who stopped by our table were amazed by our affordable treatment plans for ongoing chiropractic care. In addition to offering discounts on short-term prepaid visits, we offer three and six month plans that allow weekly or bi-weekly visits at an extremely reduced fee. This fee is paid once every four weeks for the duration of the visits.

We are happy to offer a free consultation to anyone interested in learning about our methods and our wellness plans for long-term health. Call the office at (206) 405-3333 and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
